Working on Mistress, My Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic

Made some progress today fixing Mistress, my 2003 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic. Ordered a new Light bar kit to get the hollow bolt to remount the left side driving lamp.

Remounted the windscreen, tightened the handle bars & reinstalled the clock & temp gauges.

Removed the saddlebags and left rear turn signal & straightened the mounting bar.

Still need to order new clear turn signal lenses & Star eyebrows.

  1. I'm happy to see anyone else out there working on a machine. Gives me a hell of a lot of pride to do my own work.

  4. I can't begin to tell you howw it tickles me to see you doing your own work as well as seeing the old girl getting fixed. Wrenchers are true bikers in my book.

  5. Dear Torch:

Little by little, your bike starts to look just like new again. I can hardly wait to see the shots of the bike on the street again. Did you heal okay?

  10. Looks like you will fix it soon, your Mistress looks good. Your work is really appreciable and you just need lenses & Star eyebrows than you can launch this as new motorcycle.

  13. Yep, what separates the pros from the rest is how they do their own work - the wrenchers are the true bikers of the bunch. The Mistress - which is a sweet bike, by the way - should be awesomely fresh by this time, ready to take the road again.
